A man’s character is most evident by how he treats those who are not in a position either to retaliate or reciprocate. – 1948 Paul Eldridge – “Lanterns in the Night”

What is Character?
Character is the aspect of being human that you share with the world. It is the mirror image you see in the morning. It is the ego you promote to the world. A Character can be a hero or a villain. When no one is watching what you do and your inner voice provides you with discussion. What kind of person are you?
Sometimes bad people do good things; sometimes good people do bad. How you lead your life in the NOW is the most important choice that each of us makes everyday.
Take a few minutes and reflect on the times that you have done something that would not of made you proud if others had noticed. Think of something that you were very proud of but then no one noticed. Allowing an honest dialogue with yourself is a great path to mindfulness.
The Versus’s mentality
Good guys vs. Bad guys. This has been the story we have heard our entire lives. Us vs Them. The haves vs the Have nots.
Take a moment to reflect on this. The earth is wide and deep. There is enough. By removing the idea of vs’s from your thinking you can begin to understand how to be happy in your own skin. In this blog we discuss many forms of freedom. This is just one aspect that can help you on your adventures.
Learning to Love yourself.
“You are important.”
“You are important.”
When you are honest with yourself and those that love you life becomes much more rewarding. Think of your parents. They provided for you and were lucky enough to live to produce you. Their parents had the same luck. And still further their parents. It goes on and on since the dawn of humanity.
You are special. The one you that is reading this text was provided this great opportunity to explore, learn and create. All you have to do is try.
When you look in the mirror. Think about the good things that brought you to this time. To this Now. You may of had struggles, but you overcame them. Or you are i n the process of getting better.
The reality of it is there is no love for anyone that doesn’t start with you. Mrs. Adventures likes to say, “Agape!” and I agree with her that we are all brothers and sisters in this world.
Try to make it better.
With adventure you get to improve yourself! As you become more you, there is time to give back. Helping others is the currency of life. Provide tutoring to a neighbor. Help someone cross the street. Donate to your charity of choice. It is all part of your adventure. You would be amazed at how many interesting people we have met on the road that started as a helping hand.
You do not need material riches to live a life of freedom and adventure.
Don’t feel shame at being helped. Don’t allow your ego to inflate when giving. The best way we have found is anonymous donations and help as can be done. This is our way, you are welcome to forge your own path.
Character is who you are when no one is looking. Be true to yourself. In your travels take the time to help your fellow humans. Don’t forget others that may need help.
Can you share something you would like the world to know about Character? Or a way that they could help others?
